Dr. Dawn Ferara joined Eastern Shore Animal Hospital in 2005.  Dr. Ferara grew up in Eldorado, Maryland in northern Dorchester County.  She received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from The University of Findlay in 1999.  Dr. Ferara received her master’s degree in Animal Science/Nutrition from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 2001.  She went on to attend Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech where she was awarded her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2005.  A general practioner at Eastern Shore Animal Hospital, Dr. Ferara’s interests focus on internal medicine in companion animals.            

Dr. Ferara is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association and the Greater Baltimore Veterinary Medical Association.  Dr. Ferara resides in Queen Anne’s county with her 2 dogs and 3 cats.  Her hobbies include gardening, photography and reading.
